This month we caught up with TransferMate's John Nidhiry, Regional Compliance Programs-Subject Matter Lead who has been on our team for the last 5 years.
My favourite thing has to be engaging with my fellow team members every day and the fact that they are willing to cooperate to find solutions to important U.S. regulatory issues.
As the longest serving member of the U.S. Compliance team, being able to provide a foundation for the eventual formation of a strong Compliance program in the U.S., as well as fostering the growth of the business in North America.
Communication between all business sectors has definitely improved since the early days of TransferMate. The ability to communicate quickly and effectively has made our job as Compliance personnel much easier.
Learning to communicate effectively with U.S. State regulators took time and patience. The most important aspect of communication with regulators is being respectful and deferential, while remaining firm to TransferMate’s goals as the worldwide leader in Compliance.
As the Regulatory Reporting Lead for the U.S., it has been quite illuminating to be involved in the formulation and calculation of quarterly and annually reports, which shed a positive light on the growth of the business in the United States.
